Central Truth: Christians are called to bring others to Christ.

Focus: Review how Andrew and Philip brought others to Jesus and witness to others.

Context: An Apostle and a deacon bring people to Jesus.

Golden text: "He (Andrew) first findeth his own brother Simon, and saith unto him, We have found the Messiah, which is, being interpreted, the Christ. And he brought him to Jesus" (John 1:41-42).

CONCLUSION:

This is a testimony of a new convert who wishes to share his glorious discovery with others, especially with another member of his family.  Andrew was the first of John's disciples to heed John's message to follow "the Lamb of God."  He then went immediately to tell his brother Simon.  Andrew's testimony was positive.  He did not say, "I think I've found a good thing," or "I hope this is it."  He said, rather, "I have found the Christ."  How heartwarming it is to see new converts cry out, "I have found Him!"  Andrew's enthusiasm did not stop with this brief witness, but it continued to make a tremendous difference in the rest of his life.  He forsook all and followed Jesus.

Have you found Him?  Are you following Him? Are you telling others?
